IEF Call for Proposals For Grassroots Nature Regeneration Actions and Initiatives in the Ionian Region

The IEF is issuing a call for proposals for grassroots nature regeneration actions and initiatives to promote conservation and sustainability for the Ionian Environment. Through its grants the Foundation will exclusively subsidise the successful actions and initiatives. 

Evaluation criteria

IEF will provide grants to local environmental initiatives, research projects, campaigns, capacity building and education programs across the following themes: 

 

Marine Conservation

Habitat and Biodiversity Protection

Resource Management and Sustainable Development

Civil Society and Capacity Building

 

The proposed projects shall be clear and compelling, with the objective to create measurable and sustainable long-term results, build capacity and encourage participation by the local society. 

Grant application process

All interested entities or parties can complete the application form by 31st March 2025. The Steering Committee of the IEF will review and evaluate the proposals. Successful grantees will be informed in April. 

Project Implementation Schedule

The grantees will sign a Grant Agreement with the IEF with specific terms of collaboration. The implementation of the project will start as soon as the agreement is in place. The timeline of the project will be discussed and agreed upon. 

Indicative budget

The Foundation’s indicative budget for the proposal ranges between 5,000 – 20,000 euros.
