End-of-Summer: Protecting the Ionian Through Action

 

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of the work taking place across the Ionian to better understand, monitor and protect its natural environment.

From marine mammal research and the discovery of hidden cave biodiversity to removing ghost nets from the seabed and promoting more sustainable sailing, these projects show what conservation looks like on the ground,  through research, practical action and local collaboration.
